The border between states of San Luis Potosí and Tamaulipas has been closed to prevent a criminal organization from entering San Luis Potosí.

The federal police captured "Teto", a presumed operator of the Gulf Drug Cartel, yesterday in the municipality of RíoVerde in the state of San Luis Potosí.  According to the police he was part of the Zetas.  The Zetas were members of the police or military that joined the Gulf Cartel.  They have been especially violent and of great concern because of their training and ties to the police.  I have not seen anything explicit stating that this was the reason for the closure of the state border but it is quite plausible.
